I decided to listen to the universe.
To see the patterns of the voices and images of my life, and the most important voices of my life.
Year of the Earth Dog.
Oh glory!
Dig deep, find the bones bring them up with all their dirt wet and real, earthworms running their slimy yet tiny hairs through my hands, feeling the deep, accessing the dark and bringing it up to share its truth with the sun.
“Twinkle twinkle little star how I wonder what you are.”
We know what you are
We know who we are
We now must take from our hands and dig and form and brush and mold and spread and plant and design and share and create
We must act.
Empty platitudes while kids lie in puddles of blood.
“Mama, I love puddles!”
The joy turned to tragedy,
to trauma
Bark
Bark
Bark
See the deaf dog in the alley caged up, of course she was so sad.
She stopped barking after while.
They were always afraid of letting animals in the house.
Too close to the Earth,
Too close to the Dog.
Open my heart.
Make me a servant to others.
